How Murray County Court Records Are Searched

For older index work, Murray County QuickLink is a remote alternative to an in-person courthouse search. The Murray County KoFile QuickLink portal states that Clerk Donna Flood provides 24-hour internet-based access to historic index books.
KoFile is useful for historic index books and clerk indexes, but it does not replace the courthouse record when a mismatch or error appears.
Public Access to Murray County Court Records
Georgia law supports public inspection and copying of many records, but court records are still controlled by court rules, sealing orders, confidential categories, and the office that maintains the file. The Georgia Open Records Act generally opens public records unless an exception applies. O.C.G.A. § 50-18-71 allows inspection and copying and permits lawful search, retrieval, redaction, and copying costs. Restricted Murray County Court Records
Not every Murray County court record is a public file. Juvenile Court matters involving children under 17, dependency, CHINS, delinquency, and juvenile traffic are not ordinary adult court records.
